Your Wedding Ceremony – The Ceremony that will Join You in Marriage.
“What greater thing is there for two human souls, than to feel that they are joined for life-to strengthen each other in all labor, to rest on each other in all sorrow, to minister to each other in all pain, to be one with each other in silent unspeakable moments and memories.” George Eliot.

Your wedding day will be one of the most important days of your lives and the ceremony that will unite you in marriage will be one of the most important parts of your wedding day.

Traditional Wedding Ceremony
Faith based and gathered from the tradition the bride and groom were born into.
Basically a spiritual ceremony that includes reference to God, but does not comply with any specific religious protocol.
Non-religious Wedding Ceremony or a Civil Wedding Ceremony
Usually does not mention God. Can be simple, short and sweet or tailored/personalized to include whatever you wish to include.
Interfaith Wedding Ceremony
Blends elements from two or more religious faiths including religious rituals, religious readings and prayers symbolic of each faith.
Intercultural Wedding Ceremony
Elements blended from different cultures such a Celtic Hand Fasting Ceremony with Jewish Breaking of the Glass Ceremony.
Spiritual Wedding Ceremony
A non-religious personalized wedding ceremony that honors and blesses your love and celebrates the sacred mystery and meaning of love and marriage. A spiritual wedding ceremony does not include religious dogma and doctrine and it may or may not include God or a “Divine presence”. A spiritual ceremony can also include aspects of your traditions or inner-ceremonial rituals from other cultures and traditions.
Contemporary Culture Wedding
This is usually a ceremony theme adapted from contemporary culture that is meaningful to you such as a ceremony based on a favorite romance novel or movie.
Including All the Above
You can actually do all of the above in one specially tailored ceremony. The biggest issue is deciding whether you wish to include God. Some couples do wish to include God and some do not. Most couples wishing to have a spiritual ceremony want to have something about their love and relationship. Most importantly, figure out together what you truly want in your wedding ceremony. It’s your wedding and you have the right to create a ceremony that is uniquely YOU. You shouldn’t have to please others.
Your Wedding Officiant
Your wedding officiant should be a qualified experienced professional wedding/marriage minister/officiant who will create and officiate the ceremony of your choice.
